A Sacred Beginning to Holistic Well-being - A Rewind
On 3rd July. 2022, Sri M inaugurated the Sacred Grove – Centre for Exploring Consciousness and ArogyaM – Wellness centre based on Ayurveda & Yoga. As we progress in our 4th year in operation, we take a look back on the day when it all began. Sacred Grove is today a full-fledged centre organising and holding self-retreats on Sri M’s talks, solitary retreats and parent-child retreats.
At the Swadhyaya Kshetra – library, Sri M lit the lamp of Shraddha in front of Sri Guru Babaji and Sri Maheshwarnath Babaji, opening the centre for everybody.
The audio-visual section of the library was inaugurated by playing a brief film giving an overview of the entire campus and the ongoing activities. The library today has books from various traditions, which seekers can access as aids towards their journey of self-knowledge. Screenings of Sri M’s talk are regularly held as part of self-retreats
Sadhak Nivas Cottages, aesthetically designed and furnished, are surrounded by indigenous species of plants and trees, providing a comfortable space to take a retreat to step back to be a Drashta, that is being a witness unto oneself, and the physical and psychological world created around us.
On July 3rd, amid chanting of Vishnu Sahasranamam, Sri M had invited the spirit of “Dhanvantharaye Amrutha Kalasa Hastaya”, to grant the Amrut of wellbeing to all. As if to highlight this attribute, the kalasham in the hand of the idol had a natural golden glow to it, built into the natural stone out of which it is carved.
A sapling of Parijata tree was planted by Sri M in the courtyard adjoining the treatment rooms of the Wellness Centre, to pray for the fragrance of ArogyaM to spread far and wide.
He has secured safety and blessed each department of ArogyaM as a service to humanity. The centre offers Ayurvedic programmes led by experienced physicians, providing a holistic approach to health and well-being. Learn more about the programmes here
No visit to the Sacred Grove is complete without a visit to the Goshala. All the invitees, along with Sri M greeting the 14 bovine beauties of different age groups and genders and feding them bananas and jaggery on the inauguration day.
The Goshala today houses 21 cows, supporting the kitchen requirements with fresh milk and ghee, providing cow dung for natural farming, and offering seekers an opportunity to connect closely with cows and bulls during their retreat.
Inauguration of the dining hall was done by lighting a lamp of ‘Santrupti’ for all. A day when all invitees shared a meal with all the workers who had helped bring the Sacred Grove to its present state of completion. Today it serves as a space nourishing each guest with simple and fulfilling vegetarian food to aid their journey towards finding themselves.
Sri M with everyone who had contributed in their own way towards making the centre to what it is today.
