Yoga

at the Sacred Grove

Yoga is the essence that integrates all aspects of The Sacred Grove.

Swadhyaya in its emphasis on Self-Study connects with one of the Niyamas, the second Anga of the Yogasutras of Patanjali Muni. The Sadhak-Nivas, the space to withdraw into solitude is the corner stone of Pratyahara, Dharana, and even Dhyana, which are the fifth, sixth and seventh Angas of the Yogasutras.

Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, is also derived from the Yogadarshana. Santrupti – the cooking and dining complex in its emphasis on balanced diet is one of the pillars of Ayurveda and Yoga.

Natural Farming, Water Harvesting, Plantation, and Go-palan are done in the spirit of Karma Yoga to integrate with the The Sacred Grove. Ghee and other milk products from Gopalan enrich the diet and the treatments at ArogyaM.

The third and fourth Angas of Patanjali’s Yogasutras, i.e., Asanas and Pranayama, are an integral part of all wellness programs at ArogyaM and are extended to the guests of Sadhak Nivas. A typical day at the Sacred Grove ends with a session of Yoganidra.
