Vrikshavalli

Vrikshavalli is a four year old plantation of more than fifty species of indigenous trees, plants, and flowering bushes in the Swadhyaya-Kshetra, facing the Sadhak Nivas cottages and the library. Rudrakash, Srigandha, Palash, Neem, Peepal, Bakul, Kadamba, Kanchan, Amla and the rest of the trees have started inviting nests of different species of birds. A recent birdwatcher listed at least 30 plus species of these. The early morning Yoga with the glow of rising sun in the Eastern veranda of the library is accompanied by the organic music of chirping birds.

Herbarium

An extension of the plantation of indigenous trees in Vrikshavalli is the herbarium being developed to complement ArogyaM, the Ayurveda-based Wellness Centre. More than 50 species of medicinal trees and plants have been planted behind Dhanvantari Shrine.
